Over the summer my girls and I organized a pet food drive for the Animeals program. Animeals delivers pet food for recipients of the Meals on Wheels program. This service was organized after Meals on Wheels volunteers discovered that many people were having to share their food with their pets because they couldn’t afford pet food. For some of these people, (especially those who are home-bound), their pets are their main source of companionship, so caring for these elderly or disabled people means caring for their animals too. Thank you to Kahoots for allowing us to set up our booth at their Rancho San Diego store and thank you for everyone that donated. My girls and I had a blast preparing our cute little booth and we were thrilled that we were able to collect so much food for pets in need!
